Easter Cards 2018

Template for wreath builder.

I had a great time making these cards.  I love Gina K products and her designs and wanted to incorporate her new wreath builder stencil into my CTMH stamps.  I made my very own template by looking at hers.  Its very simple.  I used some square dies from Brutus Monroe.  Old ones I’ve had for years.  Any square die will work.  Cut your cardstock about 2 inches larger than your die in a perfect square.  Center the die and cut it out.  Center it again in opposite side and cut again.  You come up with the above template.  You can make them several different sizes.  Once the template is made you can use a misti or tim holtz stamp system to make your card.    You cut the paper to be stamped the size of your die.  Insert the template into the misti and I tape it down.  Then use the paper and put into the template any way you want.  Add a stamp and  stamp once then turn paper to very next corner.  Stamp again.  Repeat until the wreath pattern is formed.  I love it.  I used the D1751  Punny Pals stamps set and the D1270 March Word Puzzle stamps set.  Thanks so much for all the nice comments.  I love to make cards.  Send me your ideas and please leave any comments or suggestions.  Happy crafting.

Southern Sass Stamps

A few simple cards I made using the Southern Sass Stamp Set (C1687).  I also used embossing folders on paper.  Rose Embossing Folder (Z3343).  I used different color ink pads to drag over the embossed paper to add the color.   I added ribbon and dots for embellishments to add some cuteness.

Birthday Card for Alabama Fan! With a Sneak Peek of New Stamp Coming August 1st!

Hello Everyone!  I love this card and I’m not an Alabama fan.  I’m the opposite!  An Auburn Fan!  But this is so darn cute,  I must say!  I have a special someone that has a birthday soon and He is a huge Bama Fan!  Enjoy and please let me know what you think.  Don’t forget we still have a huge CTMH sale going on!  And the new catalog comes out August 1st!   I love everything in it!  I want it all.  My husband is rolling his eyes at me now!!!  LOL!!  I will have it all!!!  I’m posting recipe for this card below and after August 1st, I will come back and link all products used.

Roll Tide Birthday Card!

This is a standard 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inch card.  I used white daisy cardstock(Z2863) for the base and the top card cut in exact same size.

I used the Sweet Baby Stamp and Thin Cuts Set(Z3376) for the elephant and balloons, Coming Aug. 1st.  I used the Wise Guy Birthday Stamp Set(C1662), for the Happy Birthday sentiment.  I used the Splash of Color Stamp Set(D1733), Coming Aug. 1st, for the splashes of color in the background.  I used ink pads in the colors of Ruby(Z2870) and Slate(Z2873) for the color in the background.  I used ShinHan Touch Twin Markers for coloring the balloons and adding designs to them in the colors of Warm Grey(WG7) and Carmine(R11).  I also used the same ones for the sentiment.  I used the Clear Shimmer Brush(Z3293) to go over the middle balloon and then added Liquid Glass(Z679) to the top of it to make it shiny.

Now for the cute little elephant.  I used the lightest gray colored pencil in the set of Watercolor Pencils(3505) to color the body and the Tender Pink Shinhan Marker(RP198) for the cheeks, and Pastel Peach(YR26) for the feet.  I attached the balloons and wrapped them around his truck with white twine(Z3216). I then used 3-D foam tape(Z1151) to attach the elephant, balloons, and sentiment to the card.  I used the Black ShinHan marker(120) to write “Roll Tide” on the card.   This card turned out adorable.  Let me know if I can help you or if you have any questions!  Get Crafting!!!!

Hello everyone! If you came from Jean McNulty’s Blog you are in the right place.  If you just wandered up on this blog hop, please enjoy!  And please check out the others on our blog hop at www.missgingerdots.com .   I had so much fun making these cards!  Summer is in full force and I just want to celebrate it!  We just got back from Close to my Heart Convention and so excited to share with all of you what we experienced and learned.   I’m so in love with the No Worries paper pack and it was fun to mix up a couple of stamp sets to come up with the finished product!  I made 2 cards.  I always make 2-4 at a time.  Just easier to make more than one.  I’m going to list all materials below with as much detail as I can.  Product numbers are in parenthesis.   I’m new at this so please don’t judge!  LOL!  I’m having so much fun and that’s all that matters!  Please let me know if you have questions or I can help you in any way.  The next blog you should be headed to is, Peggy Pfeiffer at https://scrappyjerseygirls.com/?p=56.  Thanks so much and enjoy!

Summer Card 1&2:

Both card bases are 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  White Daisy Cardstock (1385).

Sapphire cardstock was used for layering. 4 X 5 1/4.  (X5775).  This was distressed with Edge distresser (Z1297).

No worries paper  packet was used for third layer.  3 3/4 X 5. (X7220B)  I used the paper that was a blue green color and looked like waves.  This was also distressed with the edge distresser  (Z1297).

I used a flat mount on the sapphire and no worries paper.   I then attached it to the card base using a piece of navy foam board cut at 3 3/4 X 5.  I use the foam for stability when mailing.  It holds better for me when mailing cards a long distance.  You can also use foam squares.  It gives it a raised dimensional look either way.

I used the Stamp set, Summer BBQ (C1680) for the banner that spelled out SUMMER for both cards.  I used ink pads,  Whisper(Z2872), Glacier(Z2841), Sapphire(Z2848), Cashmere(Z2875), and Lagoon(Z2895) for stamping each letter.  I then used the Piercing and Embossing Tool Kit(Z2046) to make holes in each letter to add Whisper Twine(Z3095).  This connected the letter to make a banner.  I tied a knot at each end and left a little just dangly for looks.  They are mounted to each card with foam squares for dimension.

I used Stamp set, Swirly Seashells (C1664) for the shells on both cards.  I stamped several images on white daisy cardstock (1385) with Black Memento Ink Pad (Z899).  I used a Brother Scan and Cut to cut out the stamped images with a 1/8 border.  I also used my scan and cut to cut out 2 more seashell patterns in Kraft paper(Z1375) for my second card.  After cutting out the stamped images I used ShinHan Markers to color them.  Colors used were:  Warm Grey(Z2468), light orange(Z2455), turquoise blue(Z2465), clay(Z2451), barely beige(Z2445), pastel peach(Z2460), and tender pink(Z2464).  I then used the shimmer brush(Z3293) to add some glitter to some of the colors.  Not all colors.  One color on each shell.  I added Liquid Glass(Z2060) to another color for added shine.  This really looks great in person and its so easy.  It gave each colored shell lots of dimension and made it pop off the card.  These shells were added to the card with foam squares.

I then took the patterns I cut out of Kraft paper(Z1375) and stamped them with Versamark using same stamp, Swirly Seashells(C1664).  I used Ranger Embossing Powder(Z2088) to emboss after stamping.  Using craft heater(Z555) to set the powder which made it look great.  These were also attached using foam squares.

The final touch I added was the No Worries Sequins(Z3322) to each card.  I love summer and these turned out great.  Let me know what you think!  I know it sounds like a lot of work but they were fairly easy and tons of fun to make!  Get crafting! SSD Blog Page!
